Yes, due to Queensland Health regulations, all new patients must come in for a 'New Patient Consultation (Cosmetic Treatments)' prior to any cosmetic treatment. This is in line with current regulations, and Iylah Aesthetics will always be committed to being compliant with current regulatory guidelines.
Your consultation is an opportunity for us to understand you, your concerns and what you would like to achieve. We’ll discuss your medical history, previous treatments, skincare, lifestyle and goals, and assess your skin and relevant facial anatomy where appropriate.
We’ll then talk through the options that may be suitable for you, including the benefits, limitations, risks and expected outcomes. Your treatment plan is individualised to you - and sometimes the best approach may be treatment, skincare, a combination of both, or simply doing less.
Where appropriate, treatment may be able to be performed on the same day as your consultation. This will depend on your individual assessment, suitability for treatment, your medical history and the treatment being considered.
For some treatments, additional planning, medical clearance or a period of consideration may be required before proceeding. Your safety and achieving an appropriate outcome always come first.
Some cosmetic treatments involve prescription-only medicines and require an individual consultation and assessment before treatment can be recommended. For this reason, we don't advertise treatment pricing online.

If you’re curious about treatment options or pricing, we welcome you to book a "New Patient Consultation (Cosmetic Treatments). That way, we can assess your needs properly and talk you through everything in a safe, regulated way.
Allow approximately one hour for your consultation. This gives us enough time to properly discuss your concerns, assess your skin and relevant anatomy, answer your questions and develop an individualised treatment or skincare plan without feeling rushed.
Please bring a list of any medications, supplements and relevant medical information, including any known allergies or previous reactions.
If you use skincare products, it can also be helpful to bring a list or photos of the products you are currently using. If you have had previous aesthetic treatments elsewhere, information about when and where these were performed can also be useful.
Most importantly, come with your questions and an open mind. You don't need to know exactly what treatment you need before your appointment - that's what your consultation is for.
